Job summary

Eligibility Consultants, Inc. (ECI) seeks energetic individuals to screen hospital patients for eligibility in government programs and hospital financial support options. You will work bedside, gather information, and advance applications while maintaining a respectful, HIPAA-compliant environment.

Ideal candidates communicate effectively in English and Spanish, manage caseloads with minimal delinquencies, and collaborate with teams to help uninsured patients access needed resources.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting patients with government programs.
• Ability to explain complex information in plain language.
• Comfort with English and Spanish for patient communication.
• Willingness to work in a hospital setting and follow HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Meet patients bedside to assess eligibility for government programs.
• Maintain a large caseload with minimal delinquencies.
• Gather necessary information to advance applications with teamwork.
• Communicate clearly with patients in English and/or Spanish.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements.
• Work with limited supervision while reflecting ECI values.
