Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking a part-time Medication to Bedside Delivery Technician to support discharge prescriptions from the hospital and coordinate with pharmacists in the outpatient pharmacy. You will ensure prescriptions are processed, validated with insurers, and ready for dispensing at discharge, while delivering a patient-centered experience.

The role requires strong accuracy, excellent communication with patients and providers, and the ability to train Pharmacy Technicians I & II as

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• MA Board of Pharmacy registration and CPT/exCPT certification required.
• Minimum four years of related experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and telephone communication skills; strong pharmaceutical calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Capture and support discharge prescription requests in assigned area.
• Coordinate prescriptions into outpatient pharmacy and adjudicate with insurance.
• Maintain professional, patient-focused interactions with patients and providers.
• Ensure accuracy of processing tasks before dispensing to patients.
• Train and oversee Technicians I & II and provide feedback.
