Job summary

Bernie & Phyl's Furniture in Braintree, MA is seeking an energetic Bedding Specialist to join our growing team. The role offers a salary range of $50,000 to $90,000 per year plus commission.

You will consult with Bedding Department customers to help them choose the right bedding, maintain a neat department, and support store operations. A High School diploma, comfort with computers, and a professional appearance are required; retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma.
• Comfort with computers/data entry.
• Professional appearance and ability to interact positively with customers.
• Prior retail sales experience a plus but not required.
• Ability to close sales.

Responsibilities

• Consult with Bedding Dept customers to maximize sales and ensure customers purchase the right bedding.
• Maintains a neat and clean appearance of the Bedding Department.
• Work with vendor representatives to refresh POP displays at least every 6 months.
• Become well versed in major bedding brands (5 beds) and assist Sales Consultants and customers.
• Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Operates all company equipment safely.
• Maintains a neat and safe workspace.
• All other duties as assigned.

Store Hours:

• Monday -- Friday 11:00 a.m. -- 7:00 p.m.
• Saturday -- 10:00 am -- 8:00 pm
• Sunday -- 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Responsibilities:

• Consults with customers who enter the Bedding Department, maximizing their buying and ensuring that they purchase the correct bedding to meet their needs
• Maintains a neat and clean appearance of the Bedding Department at all times
• Work with vendor representatives to change out POP as needed to keep room fresh, at least every 6 months
• Become well versed in all major bedding brands (5 beds) and a resource for all Sales Consultants and customers in that respect
• Adheres to all company-related policies and procedures
• Operates all company equipment in a safe and proper manner
• Maintains a neat and safe work space
• All other duties as assigned
