Job summary

Carpenter Co. seeks a Machine Operator B for 1st shift in the Bedding Department at the Lakeland, FL plant.

You will operate machinery safely to manufacture, package, and ship products according to daily production schedules, coordinating with team members to meet production goals. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, ability to obtain a forklift license, and flexibility for overtime and weekend work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must obtain forklift license.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime, and weekends.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a neat, orderly, and safe work environment.
• Safe operation of designated equipment.
• Properly maintain inventory and production documentation.
• Accurate labeling all packages in Bedding area and stock packages.
• Pull labeled material and transport to docks for shipping.
• Identify and remove raw materials from inventory or receive from proceeding process.
• Follow the Carpenter's safe stacking policy and procedures.
• Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality.
• Read and interpret a basic tape measure on a daily basis.
• Inventory control
• Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Safe operation of a forklift.
• Repackaging material.
