Job summary

Texas Health Resources, Inc. seeks a Bed System Repair Tech for HTM Biomed in Bedford, TX. The role supports a full-time, day shift, in-house bed maintenance and repairs in a hospital setting.

You will develop preventative maintenance programs and train local staff on bed repair and safety procedures. The ideal candidate has a HS diploma or technical training, relevant maintenance experience, and a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; vocational training preferred.
• 1 year working knowledge of mechanical and electrical components.
• Experience maintaining/repairing medical equipment preferred.
• Valid drivers license with acceptable record.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a bed preventative maintenance program.
• Provide training, education, support, and specialty assistance to staff on bed repair and maintenance.
• Inventory and documentation of hospital beds.
• Identify and order parts needed for bed repairs; track time and materials.

Work location: Texas Health HEB 1600 Hospital Parkway Bedford TX 76022

Work hours: Full Time Days Monday through Friday (7:30am-4:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Here’s What You Need

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent (Required) Or
• Technical/vocational training. (Required)
• 1 Year Working knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical components or similar devices. (Required) and
• Experience with maintenance and repair of medical equipment or similar devices. (Preferred)
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Upon Hire (Required) And
• Industry Hospital Bed Maintenance and Repair Certification (Preferred)

What You Will Do

• Develop and maintain a bed preventative maintenance program.
• Provide training, education, support, and specialty assistance to local entity staff on bed repair and maintenance.
• Inventory and compliance documentation of hospital beds.
• Identify and order parts necessary for the repair of beds.
• Estimates time and materials required; keeps computerized records and submits reports of work performed
