Job summary

Hartford HealthCare seeks a Bed Manager to oversee patient admissions and transfers, ensuring capacity is optimized across the system. You will liaise with ED, PACU/OR, and direct admission teams to coordinate bed placement and patient flow.

The role requires a nursing background, 3+ years of clinical experience, and CT RN licensure. You will report to the Manager of Bed Management and contribute to continuous throughput improvements and organizational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Education: Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years diversified clinical experience, preferably ICU/ED.
• Licensure/Registration: Current CT RN Nursing license.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admissions and transfers across Hartford HealthCare system.
• Communicate with ED, PACU/OR, and direct admissions about bed availability and throughput.
• Manage bed resources to support inpatient demand and optimize patient flow.
