Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Beauty Advisor to deliver exceptional guest experiences, drive sales, and maintain store standards. You will greet guests, assess needs, perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, and guide them to suitable products and services.

The role emphasizes product knowledge, friendly service, and teamwork, with flexibility to work in a fast-paced retail environment and participate in in-store events and promotions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 1 year of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
• Demonstrates a passion for guest service and competency for selling.
• Proficient with basic technology (e.g., Point of Sale system and Apple devices).
• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, guest loyalty, omni-channel sales, and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store.
• Greet and engage each guest, personalize service to their needs, answer questions about products and services, inform guests about promotions and sales, and recommend complementary Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Courteously handle customer service, sales, refunds, and exchanges and assist with on-line orders.
• Perform makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations with guests to drive sales and the guest service experience.
• Book appointments for and support the execution of services and in-store events that deliver an unrivaled guest experience while delivering on sales goals.
• Take the initiative to stay informed regarding new and existing products and services during work time and be knowledgeable about the ingredients and benefits of these products and services to better serve guests.
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance.
