Job summary

International Shoppes at JFK Airport seeks a Beauty Advisor to deliver premium customer service and drive sales for luxury cosmetics brands. You will greet clients, assess needs, and recommend products while maintaining brand standards and promotions in a fast-paced airport environment.

The role requires high school completion, cosmetics knowledge, and at least one year of customer service or selling experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven knowledge and selling experience with cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances.
• Minimum of one year of previous customer service or selling experience.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (active listening, verbal communication, assertiveness).
• Bi-lingual Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, Arabic is a PLUS.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and engage them to ascertain their needs and/or wants.
• Assist clients with finding merchandise based on their needs and recommend additional merchandise or alternatives.
• Ensure highest level of customer service resulting in increased productivity and achieving sales goals.
• Serve as the make-up, skincare, and fragrance expert with respect to brand specifics, services, merchandise, and procedures.
• Demonstrate make-up, skincare, and fragrances and describe the results and benefits to the client.
• Execute makeup, skincare, and fragrance merchandising and operational functions to company standards.
• Maintain testers and fixtures cleanliness in the makeup and skincare areas and report problems to management.
• Maintain product knowledge and knowledge about sales and promotions.
• Maintain security standards with the store to ensure safety of clients, colleagues and merchandise.
• Responsible for setup and maintenance of promotions.
• Assist with maintaining stock levels of brand merchandise.
• Light cleaning of shelves, counters, and tables.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

The Beauty Advisor at JFK Airport will be responsible for selling specific brand merchandise and providing exceptional customer service to our clients, while working with terminal management to drive sales.

Beauty Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and engage them to ascertain their needs and/or wants.

Education & Experience:

• High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalence Certificate
• Proven knowledge and selling experience with cosmetics, skincare, and fragrances.
• Minimum of one (1) year of previous customer service or selling experience
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills (examples are: active listening, verbal communication, assertiveness)
• Bi-lingual Mandarin, Spanish, Korean, Arabic is a PLUS

Requirements:

• Travel is required brand trainings held by vendors and International Shoppes.
• Must be flexible with schedule; Evening, Weekends and Holidays are MANDATORY!
• Must present professional appearance while interacting with clients.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Must have valid passport, subject to international or domestic travel.
• Must pass airport security background check (JFK Airport).
