We are seeking an experienced Bearings Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our manufacturing engineering team and drive improvements in bearing production, tooling, quality, cost, and efficiency.
This role will provide technical leadership while collaborating with Manufacturing, Quality, Tooling, Sales, and Customers to develop and improve bearing products and manufacturing processes.
Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team, including mentoring, resource planning, and project assignments.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes for bearing components and assemblies.
Support bearing design, product development, engineering drawings, and Design for Manufacturability (DFMA).
Design and improve progressive and compound dies, stamping processes, and tooling.
Work closely with toolmakers on tooling design, build, troubleshooting, and improvements.
Support machining, assembly, heat treating, and other bearing manufacturing processes.
Resolve manufacturing and technical issues while improving quality, productivity, and cost.
Lead Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Support PPAP, process validation, capability studies, corrective actions, and ISO requirements.
Manage engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring schedules and budgets are met.
Collaborate with customers and internal teams on technical requirements, product development, and issue resolution.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
5+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of bearing design and manufacturing processes.
Experience with mechanical design, drafting, GD&T, and blueprint interpretation.
Experience with metal stamping, progressive/compound die design, machining, tooling, and assembly preferred.
Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
Previous engineering leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment preferred.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineering leader with strong knowledge of bearings, stamping, tooling, machining, and manufacturing processes, who can lead a team while working closely with production and customers to deliver quality products, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
This position works in both office and manufacturing environments and may require occasional travel to customer and supplier locations.
