BGF Industries, Inc. in Cheraw, SC is seeking a Loom Maintenance Mechanic to repair mechanical malfunctions on looms, start up new creels and perform scheduled preventive maintenance. This role requires prior weaving qualification, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid industrial truck license.
You will also perform rapier head inspections and enter data into the LDMS system. Additional duties include feathered edge checks, general housekeeping, and strict adherence to safety rules.

High School diploma as defined by company policy or GED. Must have been previously qualified as a weaver. Must successfully complete requirements for industrial truck license. Must have taken and scored at least in the 50 percentile on the Bennett's Mechanical Comprehension Test.
Frequent contact with carbon, fly, binder, size, oil, safety solvent, greases, oils, etc. May be required to wear eye protection, gloves, protective clothing in performance of certain tasks. Annual audiogram or as required by Company policy. Hearing protection as required in posted areas in the plant. Must follow all safety rules including but not limited to lockout/tagout, wearing personal protective equipment, etc.
