Valor Hospitality - The Lodge at Gulf State Park seeks a friendly restaurant server to ensure an enjoyable dining experience with prompt, courteous service. You will greet guests, take orders, and provide recommendations while upholding established standards.

Requirements include high school education, 3–6 months in food/beverage service, English proficiency, and TIPs certification. This full-time, on-site role offers benefits like health, PTO, and dining discounts.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 3–6 months experience in a food/beverage services environment.
• Vision ability to clearly see guest checks and instructions.
• TIPS certification is required.
• Ability to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Greet and take food and drink orders from restaurant customers.
• Maintain attentiveness to customers, following service standards.
• Restock and clean duties, opening and closing side-work.
• Memorize menu items and daily specials to answer questions and make recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness of restaurant, wait-station, and kitchen areas.
• Process payments accurately and document information on guest checks.
• Attend pre-meal and departmental meetings to improve knowledge.
• Respond to inquiries and provide timely, knowledgeable information.
• Present a clean and professional appearance.
• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, courteous demeanor.
• Able to handle difficult customer service scenarios with tact.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
