Job summary

Big Chill Island House seeks experienced bartenders to craft signature cocktails and classics, guiding guests through our beer, wine, spirits, and food offerings with great hospitality.

You’ll stay knowledgeable, organized, and friendly in a fast-paced environment, delivering a bar experience that turns first-time visitors into regulars and shows personality in every guest interaction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum 1 year bartending/hospitality experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and standard recipes.
• Cash handling and math skills; efficient at using a cash register/POS.
• Strong interpersonal and customer-service orientation.
• Team player who enjoys interacting with others.
• Enjoy working outside by the beach.
• Able to stand long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Current Alcohol Beverage Certificate in South Carolina.
• Reliable transportation and eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and create a fun, approachable bar experience.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages per recipes and standards.
• Build knowledge of signature cocktails, beer, wine, spirits, and food menus.
• Guide guests through offerings, answer questions, and suggest drinks and food pairings.
• Take and enter orders accurately and efficiently while staying attentive to guests.
