Job summary

La Vida Hospitality Group seeks Barback for Big Chill Island House to support bartenders and keep stations stocked. You’ll replenish beer, liquor, ice, and supplies, prep garnishes, and help with closing duties in a fast-paced setting.

Ideal candidates are 21+, reliable, with hospitality mindset and willingness to work nights/weekends. This role offers perks under La Vida Hospitality and is onsite at Big Chill Island House.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Some relevant experience helpful.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Flexibility of schedule to assume responsibilities as needed, ability to balance personal & professional life.
• Must work nights and weekends.
• Professional appearance, punctual, reliable.
• Hospitality soul with guest friendly demeanor.
• Exhibit a sense of urgency and be able to work in very fast paced environment.
• Advanced written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills.
• Well organized.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, POS

Responsibilities

• Receive, organize, and shelve beer and liquor deliveries.
• Prep freshly squeezed juice, mixes and garnishes at par levels.
• Stock cups, napkins, straws and ice at start of day.
• Replace kegs and retrieve bottles from walk-in cooler and liquor storage.
• Wash and restock speed pours containers and mixing tools.
• Clean spills at bar and at customers’ tables.
• Monitor stations and restock cups, napkins, straws and ice as needed.
• Assist bartender with tasks as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling; sort as required.
• Restock bottles and maintain inventory at each bar.
• Wipe down bar and tabletops before/after shifts.
• Assist in closing duties.
• Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; act in best interest of business.
