Job summary

Pelican Grand Beach Resort is seeking a Room Service Server to deliver food and beverage items to guests in-room and around the property. The role requires friendly, enthusiastic service, knowledge of menu items, and upselling where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
• Must possess basic communication skills.
• Must have basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for and serve all room service requests, using upselling techniques.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas and servicing equipment.
• Answer phones with professional verbiage and assist guests promptly.
• Set up room service orders thoroughly and deliver to guest rooms or pool deck.
• Set up and deliver all guest amenities in a timely manner.
• Assist Restaurant Service staff as needed.
• Explain menu items and upsell where appropriate.
• Handle all financial transactions.
• Perform side work and keep standards of sanitation as per health codes.
