Pelican Grand Beach Resort is seeking a Room Service Server to deliver food and beverages to guest rooms with a friendly, professional approach on Fort Lauderdale Beach. The role emphasizes suggestive selling, timely service, and maintaining spotless service areas.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in a full-service restaurant and must meet English proficiency, basic computer skills, and food safety requirements. This position offers a full-time schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years experience as a food server in a full-service restaurant; customer service experience preferred.
• Must be age-appropriate to serve alcohol and have Food Safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Take orders for room service and serve items to guest rooms using suggestive selling.
• Maintain clean and stocked room service stations and assist F&B managers as needed.
• Deliver food and beverages promptly to guest rooms and pool deck areas.
• Answer phones with appropriate guest-service language and upsell when appropriate.
• Explain menu items to guests and handle all financial transactions accurately.
• Complete side-work and ensure sanitation standards per health regulations.
