Job summary

TradeWinds Island Resort in Saint Pete Beach, FL, seeks a Beach Services & Watersports Supervisor to lead and manage all watersports operations on site. The role emphasizes safety, guest satisfaction, and staff coaching within a resort setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management is preferred but not required.
• Teaching Lifeguard & CPR courses, preferably American Red Cross; scuba diving and jet ski/PWC experience preferred.
• Experience with equipment maintenance and preventive maintenance programs; development of aquatic safety procedures or Emergency Action Plans.
• Lead by example in safety, professionalism, communication and guest service; commitment to exceptional guest satisfaction.
• Must be available weekends and holidays; able to work outdoors in Florida heat; confident swimmer; capable of emergency response and rescue duties.
• ARC Waterfront Lifeguard Instructor Certification and ARC First Aid & CPR Instructor Certification are required or TradeWinds will sponsor them for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee beach & watersports operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Supervise and train beach services staff; assist with scheduling and pre-shift briefings.
• Engage guests with professional, welcoming service and address concerns promptly.
• Enforce safety protocols and emergency action plans; conduct drills and incident reports.
• Oversee maintenance and organization of watersports equipment and facilities.
