Job Summary

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for designing, managing, and executing the Company’s Business Development Department in the assigned area. This role involves developing and promoting strategic sales and marketing plans to meet or exceed census goals.

Qualifications
  • 3 years’ experience as a Sales leader in Home Health
  • 5 years of Home Health experience implementing successful business development strategies
  • Thorough understanding of Home Health, Long Term Care Market, and referral sources
  • Successful sales training experience for internal and external staff
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding admission goals
  • Ability to identify market needs and trends
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Some college education in a Marketing-related field preferred
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
Essential Functions
  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies for the region
  • Maintain census goals and quality mix
  • Lead business development initiatives to increase market share
  • Build relationships with referral sources including acute care and physician practices
  • Analyze market demographics to guide strategies
  • Review and update marketing collateral and advertising efforts
  • Create campaigns and PR opportunities to foster new business
  • Support recruitment and training of sales staff
  • Monitor lead tracking and data to improve conversion rates
Continuing Education
  • Attend required in-service and continuing education for professional certification or licensure
  • Participate in additional educational programs as needed
