Job summary

Redtail Renewables is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive its greenfield origination engine. You will build and maintain a disciplined pipeline of landfill RNG and LFGTE opportunities and lead competitive RFP responses.

You will coordinate internal teams to deliver compelling submissions, maintain CRM data, and move opportunities toward letters of intent and GRA negotiation. This role requires a self-directed operator who can manage multiple parallel opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, environmental/energy, or related field.
• 3–6+ years in business development, origination, sales, or project development.
• Experience in energy, renewables, waste, infrastructure, or related sector preferred.
• Ability to coordinate internal contributors to deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to produce executive-ready summaries.
• Highly organized and self-directed; manage many parallel opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Support landfill origination and outreach with commercial leadership; add new Gas Rights Agreements.
• Own and drive competitive RFP responses end to end with internal contributors.
• Establish and maintain CRM discipline with up-to-date pipeline data.
• Maintain a structured BD pipeline aligned to SOPs and targets.
• Conduct preliminary market and opportunity diligence on landfill gas fundamentals.
• Track relationships and RFP calendars; surface new entry points.
• Prepare pipeline reporting and board-level materials.
• Coordinate with development, finance, and legal to move opportunities toward LOI and GRA negotiation.
