Neuralink seeks a Mechanical Engineering Intern to help design and produce hardware for brain-computer interface devices, including surgical robotics components. You will contribute across stages from concept to production and collaborate with multiple engineering teams.

Responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and validating implant hardware, improving manufacturing processes, and creating tooling for the assembly line, while meeting tight project schedules.

Qualificações

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ months of relevant academic coursework or project experience.
• 9+ months of experience applying technical skills outside the classroom (personal projects, internships, or work).
• 1+ year of Mechanical Design experience.
• Strong understanding of engineering first principles.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, test, and validate systems for the implant and related hardware components.
• Develop and improve manufacturing processes and equipment to support in-house production.
• Scope, design and iterate custom tooling and fixturing required for the implant assembly line.
• Work with Quality, Electrical Engineering, BCI Software, Microfabrication, and Surgery Engineering to define system requirements, verification and validation tests, and more.
• Adhere to aggressive project schedules and ensure timely completion from inception to implementation.
