Neuralink is seeking a Software Engineer Intern for the Brain Interfaces Software Team. You will contribute to the end-to-end software stack that supports implant communication, verification, manufacturing, and monitoring.

Responsibilities include SDK development, tooling, and verification software across implant-related systems. The role emphasizes production-quality engineering and delivering reliable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Python and C or Rust; exceptional software engineering matters most.
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems and command line.
• Evidence of exceptional ability in engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
• Strong production-system mindset (not just research-grade).
• Preferred: experience developing safety-critical software.

Responsibilities

• Developing and improving Neuralink's Implant and Charger SDK.
• Maintaining Neuralink's brain interface software and firmware build tooling.
• Developing and improving Implant manufacturing line acceptance software.
• Maintaining Implant design control verification testing software.
• Developing and improving Implant recorder system.
• Developing and improving Implant monitoring system.
