Job summary

Boston Public Schools is seeking a BTU Specialist to provide targeted support to students with disabilities in the ABA Strand and at-risk learners. The role works with principals, OSS, and school teams to implement IEPs and Service Team Action Plans.

The incumbent will coordinate case management, participate in Service and Evaluation Teams, and offer consultation and professional development to colleagues, ensuring equitable access and effective instruction.

Qualifications

• BCBA certification is required.
• Massachusetts Moderate or Severe Disabilities license required.
• Experience delivering support services to students with disabilities.
• Ability to meet BPS Standards of Effective Practice as outlined above.

Responsibilities

• Provide specific support services for students in ABA Strand and at-risk learners.
• Support individual students, small groups, and classes as outlined in IEPs/Service Plans.
• Collaborate with Principals/Head of School, HSS Teachers, SP Coordinators, and OSS staff.
• Provide case management and liaison with schools, district, and community providers.
• Participate on Service Teams and Evaluation Teams.
• Offer consultation and professional development to colleagues.
