Job summary

Success On The Spectrum in Florham Park, NJ is seeking a BCBA Intern for full- or part-time engagement. This paid internship trains you to perform BCBA duties under supervision while you learn, with weekly supervision and hands-on practice in center-based settings.

You will create individualized programs, supervise RBTs, conduct client progress analysis, participate in parent training, and help with documentation and data collection using Central Reach.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree completed.
• Must be enrolled in a Masters program and started your BCBA coursework.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Able to lift at least 40 pounds, sit on the floor, and be physically active.

Responsibilities

• Work In Center Monday - Friday and Saturday.
• supervise in-home clients 4:30pm - 6:30pm once per week.
• Create individualized, research-based client programs.
• Analyze client progress and update programs as needed.
• Weekly parent training meetings and progress updates.
• Supervise RBTs.
• Weekly staff meetings and quarterly in-service trainings.
• Insurance correspondence (pre-auth requests).
• Directly implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
• Record client responses in Central Reach.
• Convert appointments into billing.
• Assist with patient assessments and reassessments (VBMAPP, ABLLS, AFLS, Socially Savvy, ABAS-3, Vineland).
• Assist in updates to patient treatment plans and teaching instructions under BCBA supervision.
• Assist in training and supervision of behavior technicians.
• Attends bi-weekly ABA staff meetings and delivers patient updates.
• Gathers data to provide feedback on staff trial counts, IOA and other reports.
• Conducts direct therapy and supports behavior technicians.
• Maintain and organize patient materials for therapy.
• Assist in video-recording of patient therapy for training purposes.
• Monitor parent training goals for involvement/generalization.
• Probe targets and future programs of clients.
• Reinforce staff for correct and motivated work.
• Provide feedback and modeling to promote a positive work environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Write detailed SOAP notes.
• Attend quarterly in-service trainings and team bonding.
• End-of-day cleaning duties.

• Assists in updates to patient treatment plans including but not limited to formal reports, intervention plans and teaching instructions under the direct supervision of the BCBA
• Assist in training and supervision of behavior technicians which includes but is not limited to formal evaluations, feedback and disciplinary actions
• Attends bi-weekly ABA Staff Meeting and assist BCBA in the delivery of patient updates
• Gathers data to provide feedback on staff trial counts, IOA and other reports to measure fidelity of treatment
• Conducts direct therapy, models and supports behavior technicians to achieve optimal expectations of direct treatment.
• Maintains and organizes patient materials necessary for therapy treatment
• Assist in video-recording of patient therapy for training purposes (monthly)
• Monitors parent training goals to ensure parent involvement/generalization of skills- print and log parent participation/involvement
• Probe targets and future programs of clients
• Reinforce staff for correct and motivated work Plan
• Provide feedback and modeling to promote a positive work environment for all staff
• Other projects and duties as assigned
• Write detailed SOAP notes
• Attend Quarterly in-service trainings and team bonding activities
• General End-of-day Cleaning duties
