Job summary

Symphony ABA in Virginia is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our hybrid team. The BCBA will assess and develop behavior intervention plans for children with developmental disabilities and collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to promote positive behavioral changes.

This role requires BCBA certification, Virginia LBA license, experience with children, HIPAA compliant documentation, and strong data collection and analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficient in data collection and analysis related to behavioral interventions.
• Compassionate approach towards individuals with disabilities.
• Prior experience in diagnostic evaluation is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation practices.
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities or special education needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and needs.
• Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on data collection and analysis.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress regularly.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency in behavior management strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide training and support to staff and caregivers on behavior management techniques.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
• Advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met within educational and community settings.
