Job summary

Symphony ABA in Virginia is seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team in a hybrid role. You will assess and develop behavior intervention plans for individuals, especially children, and work with families, educators and other professionals to implement effective strategies.

Responsibilities include assessments, developing plans, data collection, progress monitoring, staff training, HIPAA-compliant documentation, and collaboration to ensure consistency in behavior

Qualifications

• BCBA certification is required and must be current.
• Virginia LBA license is required.
• Experience with children with developmental disabilities or special needs.
• Strong data collection and HIPAA-compliant documentation knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
• Compassionate, patient approach to individuals with disabilities.
• Experience with diagnostic evaluation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify behavioral challenges and needs.
• Develop individualized behavior intervention plans based on data collection and analysis.
• Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor progress regularly.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency in behavior management strategies.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide training and support to staff and caregivers on behavior management techniques.
• Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
• Advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their needs are met within educational and community settings.
