Job summary

Saco School Department is seeking a Behavior Consultant to serve as a collaborative coach, trainer, and resource to educators, related service providers, and administrative staff.

In this flexible consultant role, you will shape programming and interventions for students with diverse behavioral needs, coach staff to implement strategies with fidelity, and drive data-based decision-making to support inclusion and student success.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field and BCBA credential.
• Maine licensure and CHRC clearance.
• Experience with Section 28 services administration and supervision.
• Ability to collaborate with school teams and families.

Responsibilities

• Guide staff in developing tools and collecting progress-monitoring data on behavioral goals.
• Conduct FBAs and generate actionable reports.
• Lead development of positive behavior support plans using evidence-based interventions.
• Consult with general education, special education, and specialty service teams districtwide.
• Provide supervision to Behavioral Health Professionals per Section 28 program standards.
• Attend IEP meetings and promote family engagement.
