Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) to observe patients, assess behavior, collaborate with families and professionals, and develop individualized plans. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice and advocacy for inclusion in society.

You will design and adjust treatment plans, observe under simulated and real conditions, and ensure interventions respect cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs of clients.

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a BCBA or similar role.
  • Knowledge of appropriate referral procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and report writing skills.
  • Calm, empathic, and patient nature.
  • The ability to stay composed and adhere to best practices under duress.
  • Relevant training and/or BCBA certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Observing patients and assessing their behavior.
  • Meeting with families, teachers, or doctors to discuss treatment and progress.
  • Developing individual plans to correct, maintain, or improve behaviors.
  • Creating simulated conditions to observe client behavior.
  • Formulating treatment plans sensitive to cognitive, social, emotional, and sensory needs.
  • Administering treatment and tailoring interventions as needed.
  • Suggesting additional treatment by other professionals as required.
  • Operating within time, financial, and resource constraints.
  • Staying current with research on evidence-based practices.
  • Advocating for inclusion of individuals with disorders within society.
