Job summary

JD McCarty Center is seeking an energetic BCaBA to join our pediatric therapy team in Norman, OK. The role involves supervising staff, assisting in treatment plans, and collaborating across disciplines to implement ABA strategies.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm, with a 40-hour week and opportunities to exchange extra time for future days. Salary begins at $60,000 per year and will be based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must maintain BCBA (where applicable) and Oklahoma LBA licenses.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Technicians in ABA principles.
• Assist BCBA in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Consult with BCBA to identify behavior strategies and interventions to reduce maladaptive behaviors and increase replacement skills.
• Collaborate with Physical, Speech, Occupational Therapies to develop patient plans.
• Attend events related to ABA services for promotional activities.
• Collect data and submit daily session notes and billing per guidelines.
• Assist with intake process including parent interviews and insurance requirements.

Job description

JD McCarty Center is an organization that provides inpatient and outpatient therapy services to children with developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking an energetic and child-centered Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) to join our team!

The position requires a 40-hour work week with standard hours being Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This job does not require, nor does it promote, more than a 40-hour work week. Should you exceed a typical 8 hour day, then you can trade that time out for later that week.

Salary begins at $60,000 per year and will be based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for supervising and providing training to Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Technicians and training staff on how to implement the principles of ABA therapy
• Assists the BCBA in creating and implementing individualized treatment plans for each patient
• Consults with BCBA and Identifies behavior strategies and interventions to implement in an attempt to reduce maladaptive behaviors and increase replacement skills
• Collaborates across a variety of disciplines (Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, etc.) to make informed decisions regarding the use of devices, equipment, and techniques when developing the child’s individualized treatment plan
• Attends JDMC functions related to promotional outings and marketing events for ABA related services
• Responsible for data collection and completing and submitting timely daily session notes and billing, in accordance with established guidelines
• Assists BCBA with the intake process including parent interviews, collaboration with school and other therapies, conducting assessments, and insurance requirements
• Meets frequently with BCBA to review program progress of shared patients
• Completes other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Must maintain all current certifications including Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Oklahoma Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA), QBS Safety Care and CPR/First Aid
• Can learn and grow while working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Strong time management skills and the ability to think quickly in unexpected situations
• Physical demands may include assisting with lifting, holding, or positioning clients with disabilities, sitting or stooping on the floor for extended periods of time, standing or bending over repeatedly throughout the day, and assisting with living skills such as feeding, toileting, showering and/or dressing
• Conducting one-on-one sessions with patients in the event that RBTs are not available

About the J.D. McCarty Center:

At J.D. McCarty Center patients are admitted for a 30-day evaluation during which they are assigned a treatment team consisting of nursing unit, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, nutritional services, social services, psychological services, behavioral analysis, and recreational therapy. Our 80-acre s campus includes an on-site elementary, intermediate, and high school which is staffed by Norman Public School teachers. Patients may continue treatment needs beyond the 30-days as an in-patient in habilitation status based upon progress or placement needs. We are a tobacco and vape free facility.
