Job summary

Ozark Center in Missouri seeks a BCaBA to support the Clinical Director and Behavior Analysts in delivering ABA-based services to autistic children. The role includes supervising, coaching, and implementing intensive interventions, and developing and monitoring behavior support plans with data-driven progress notes.

You will conduct assessments, analyze data, provide parent training, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. Some evening/weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

  • A graduate from an accredited four year college with specialization in special education, counseling, psychology, social work or closely related field.
  • A graduate with a Master’s degree in special education, psychology, social work, counseling or closely related field.
  • One year of experience working with children with autism.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising, coaching, and performing intensive interventions with children with autism within ABA methodology.
  • Oversight of development, training, and implementation of plans to reduce challenging behavior.
  • Conducting initial and ongoing normed and criterion-based assessments.
  • Analyzing data and making treatment recommendations based on assessments.
  • Monthly supervision for RBTs; report writing; parent training and family support.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary:The Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) assists the Clinical Director, Behavior Analysts, the client and their families in progress toward specific goals. This person works under the supervision of a Licensed Behavior Analyst in completing functional behavior assessments and skill assessments, developing and monitoring behavior support plans and individualized treatment plans, completing progress reports, recording and analyzing data, conducting staff training, providing on-sight monitoring and working with a team of other professionals. BCaBA provides services to individuals impacted by a variety of behavioral health (addiction/substance use and mental health) issues, recognizing that the individuals we serve often times have experienced trauma that affects their development and adjustment. BCaBA demonstrates a warm and welcoming empathic, hopeful attitude, conveying a philosophy of dual recovery. BCaBA will be trained in trauma-informed care and will work to help provide services in an environment that is sensitive and responsive which will prevent victimization, abuse, or trauma as a result of the care received.
