Job summary

Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, CT, is seeking a weekend Nursing Supervisor to lead the nursing team on a 7p-7a shift every other weekend. Pay is $60 per hour with weekly pay and RN licensure required.

As a registered nurse supervisor, you will oversee total nursing care activities, ensure up-to-date care plans, follow physician orders, and mentor Charge Nurses and CNAs to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain resident care plans for all residents under your care.
• Follow physician orders and provide complete nursing care, treatments and dressings as directed.
• Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Document nursing notes comprehensively and promptly.
• Monitor residents on alert and document RN assessments as needed.
• Report any significant findings to physicians as necessary.
• Administer medications according to procedure.
• Initiate emergency procedures as needed.
• Oversee performance of Charge Nurse and CNAs.
• Foster positive resident and family relations.

We are hiring a baylor weekend Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown!

7p-7a every other weekend. $60 an hour with weekly pay. Must be an RN.

As a registered nurse supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each of shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Experience & Education:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must be CPR certified.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care.
• Follow physician’s orders. Renders and/or assists with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
• Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medication according to procedure if applicable.
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary.
• Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
• Contributes to and promotes positive resident and family relations.
