Job summary

Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown, CT is hiring a RN Weekend Nursing Supervisor to lead the nursing team on alternating weekends. The role runs 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and pays $60 per hour with weekly pay. Must hold an RN license and CPR certification.

You will oversee the nursing care activities, ensure care plans are current, follow physician orders, document nursing notes, and supervise Charge Nurses and CNAs to maintain high-quality resident care.

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license in the state.
• Minimum Nursing Degree from an accredited school.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans for all residents under care.
• Follow physician orders and provide complete nursing care and treatments.
• Transcribe physician orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily for accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive nursing notes and RN assessments as needed.
• Manage alertness and report significant findings to the physician.
• Administer medications per procedure and oversee emergencies.

We are hiring a baylor weekend Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Wadsworth Glen Health Care and Rehabilitation Center in Middletown!

7p-7a every other weekend. $60 an hour with weekly pay. Must be an RN.

As a registered nurse supervisor, you direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each of shift of duty under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Experience & Education:

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this state.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.
• Must be CPR certified.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.
• Maintain current resident care plans on all residents under his/her care.
• Follow physician’s orders. Renders and/or assists with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.
• Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.
• Review patient records daily to assure accuracy and completeness.
• Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.
• Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed.
• Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.
• Administer medication according to procedure if applicable.
• Initiate any and all emergency procedures as necessary.
• Conduct oversight of Charge Nurse and CNA performances.
• Contributes to and promotes positive resident and family relations.
