Job summary

Psomas in the Bay Area seeks an Office Engineer / Field Engineer to support construction administration, field observation, and project documentation for active wastewater infrastructure projects.

You will perform field support, prepare submittals and RFIs, interpret plans, and help maintain project records and compliance while coordinating with clients, contractors, and design teams to keep projects on schedule and within scope.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred.
• Valid CA driver license and reliable transportation to access project sites.

Responsibilities

• Support construction administration, field observation, and project documentation for active wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Prepare and process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress payments.
• Interpret plans and specifications to support field and office decisions.
• Maintain project files, as-built documentation, schedules, and compliance tracking.
• Coordinate communication between clients, contractors, and design teams to ensure alignment.
