Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Warehouse Team Member II to maintain a well-stocked, organized warehouse and assist Route Service Managers. The role involves regular battery deliveries and supporting distribution operations.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, restocking, battery testing and dating, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in the warehouse. Occasional shifts as backup driver and support for NAC/ RSM may be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, routing and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal and interstate commerce regulations.
• Able to operate motor vehicles or forklift.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle.
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed.
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed.
• Collect and handle payments on account (cash, checks, money orders).
• Collect and return junk/used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow driver program requirements as specified by the manager.
• Other duties as requested.
