Job summary

Interstate Batteries in Upland, CA is seeking a Warehouse Team Member II to keep a well-stocked, organized facility and to assist Route Service Managers. You will load/unload batteries, restock, and ensure batteries are tested, dated, and rotated as part of daily operations.

The role requires basic forklift/vehicle operation, safe warehouse practices, and accuracy in inventory reporting. Candidates should have at least one year of warehouse experience, good communication, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Knowledge of carrier operations, routing, and distribution methods.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and interstate commerce regulations.
• Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems.
• Understanding of hazardous shipping laws and requirements.
• Ability to operate motor vehicles and/or forklift.
• Must have a clean driving record and meet driver qualifications requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload batteries.
• Restock batteries.
• Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations.
• Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries.
• Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims.
• Operate a forklift and motor vehicle.
• Run the Hot Shots on a timely basis as needed.
• Fill in for NAC Delivery Specialist or RSM, as needed.
• Collect and handle payments on account, which may include cash, checks, and money orders.
• Collect and return junk and/or used batteries to the warehouse.
• Follow / fulfill all driver program requirements, as specified by the manager.
