Job summary

Wipro Limited is seeking a Battery Thermal Engineer to advance thermal modeling for battery cells, packs, and BMS subsystems. The role emphasizes CFD/thermal simulations and building reusable modeling workflows, with collaboration across CAE vendors.

The candidate will develop models, perform simulations, and establish best practices while contributing to topology optimization and ROM extraction. A strong AEDT/Icepak and Python background is required.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD with 3 years of industry experience in mechanical engineering is required.
• Strong CFD and thermal modeling expertise is essential.
• AEDT with Icepak is mandatory; Python or equivalent scripting is required.
• U.S. work authorization with no export restrictions is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop thermal models translating power maps into thermal outputs.
• Run advanced CFD/thermal simulations for cells, packs, and BMS subsystems.
• Create reusable workflows and templates for thermal simulations.
• Establish and promote thermal modeling best practices.
• Collaborate with CAE vendors to improve tools and capabilities.
• Extract ROMs from CFD simulations and support topology optimization.
