Staff Management | SMX is seeking a Testing Service Technician to join our growing R&D team in Westlake, OH. This hands-on role supports battery testing, product quality, and innovation initiatives in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

The position offers a 1st shift (Mon-Fri) with a flexible start time and an hourly pay rate of $21.70. Employment types include temporary, contract, or full-time, with weekly pay and medical/dental insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in a technical, laboratory, manufacturing, or related environment.
• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• PPE required including safety glasses and gloves; respirators may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, label, and organize battery samples for testing.
• Operate testing equipment including battery test cabinets and ovens.
• Load and unload batteries according to testing plans and schedules.
• Perform laboratory support tasks including battery disposal and inventory management.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Demonstrate initiative in identifying and resolving issues.
