Job summary

Blue Origin in Missouri is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead testing for lithium-ion cells and energy storage systems used in spacecraft. You will design tests, develop plans, document configurations, and analyze data to ensure performance and reliability under environmental conditions.

The role requires hands-on lab work, familiarity with LabView and Matlab, and collaboration across engineering teams. Occasional travel and relocation support are offered to qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with lab test equipment (Power Supply, DMM, Oscilloscope, etc.).
• Experience with software tools such as LabView, JIRA, Matlab, or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience developing and executing test plans for complex electronics systems.
• Familiarity with electrical test equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead testing for lithium-ion cells, modules and energy storage systems for spacecraft applications.
• Design experimental and standard tests for new products and components.
• Develop and create comprehensive test plans for electrical/electronic systems.
• Document test articles, configurations, and reference documents.
• Collect data, analyze results, evaluate trends, and report findings.
• Write test scripts based on the purpose of test.
• Perform battery and cell electrical performance testing in lab or testing facility.
• Execute environmental testing including thermal cycling, vibration, and EMI/EMC.
