Responsibilities

• Read work order and observe truck in operation to determine malfunction and plan procedures.
• Perform mechanical repairs after inspection and analysis.
• Write complete repair description on work order with correct model and serial number, and record hour meter reading.
• Record battery information on work order including specific gravity readings and load test results.
• Submit all paperwork to shop service coordinator daily (work orders, time cards, etc.).

POSITION SUMMARY

Repairs and maintains electric, industrial trucks, specializing in the repair of industrial batteries.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Reads work order and observes and listens to truck in operation to determine malfunction and to plan work procedures.
• Makes mechanical repairs to equipment after a complete inspection and analysis of breakdown has been completed.
• Write complete repair description on work order, including the correct model and the serial number of equipment and record hour meter reading.
• Record all pertinent battery information on work order, including specific gravity readings, load test results, etc.
• Turn all paperwork into the shop service coordinator daily. Includes work orders, time cards, etc.
