Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an intern to join the Energy Storage Systems Team to contribute to the development of battery energy storage systems for datacenters, utilities, and defense applications.

You will analyze data, learn about new battery chemistries, and support product management with market-fit assessments through a stage-gate process, culminating in a final report and presentation to upper management.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in undergrad or grad in a physical science/engineering field such as Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics / Applied Physics, or Electrical engineering.
• MS Excel experience and general data analysis skills.
• Interest in battery technology and new product development.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams developing new battery technology for Utilities, Datacenter, and Defense industries.
• Analyze data and prepare reports.
• Learn about new battery chemistries and assess technical fit with target applications.
• Support product management with analysis of product/market fit for new battery technologies and deliverables through stage‑gate process.
• Interface with the advanced research center on testing results.
• Attend conferences and site visits as needed.
• Finish internship with report and presentation to upper management.
