Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Engineering Intern for the Power Conversion & Storage team in Niskayuna, NY. You will assist in designing, simulating, and validating power conversion systems including grid-scale inverters and energy storage solutions.

The role combines power electronics, controls, and data-driven testing in a fast-paced engineering environment. You will gain hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, system modeling, and cross-functional collaboration to support product

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a related engineering field.
• Strong fundamentals in power electronics and control systems.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, PSCAD, or Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support design, simulation, and validation of power conversion systems (grid-scale inverters, BESS).
• Assist hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and data capture.
• Collaborate with design, controls, and compliance engineers; document findings clearly.
