Job summary

Fusion Cell in Barker, NY is seeking a Critical Systems Technician II, Battery to support UPS battery systems on client sites. This role offers hands-on installation, maintenance and troubleshooting in a dynamic environment.

You will travel to customer sites up to 50%+ as needed, perform battery replacements, preventive maintenance, and data collection using a laptop, while following safety and NFPA-70E procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn AC/DC theory and electrical concepts.
• Ability to safely operate hand tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Completion of OSHA 10-hour certification and NFPA-70E training (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to interpret torque values and connect battery strings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with battery replacements and installations for UPS systems.
• Support preventative and scheduled maintenance of battery systems with minimal disruption to customers.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site during all phases of work.
• Follow safety, maintenance, and emergency procedures to ensure safety and compliance.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams and interact professionally with customers.
• Utilize hand tools and general maintenance equipment as required.
• Assist with tasks in other service divisions as needed.
• Travel approximately 50% or more to customer sites as needed.
