Job summary

Saft is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead the design of nickel-cadmium batteries, battery systems, and harness assemblies for rail, aviation, and telecom sectors. You will develop electrical designs, manage 2D/3D harness drawings in Creo and Windchill, and ensure compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100D, NEC and other standards.

Collaborating with electrochemical and mechanical teams, you will advance cell and pack designs, support qualification, supplier development, and manufacturing processes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5–10 years of Electrical/Electronics product design experience in Aviation or Rail markets.
• 5 years leading electrical design tasks in batteries and battery systems.
• Experince with Creo and Windchill; PLM knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering of nickel-cadmium batteries, battery systems, and harnesses.
• Develop 2D/3D harness drawings in Creo and Windchill; ensure standard compliance.
• Ensure products meet ISO 9001, APTA, NEC, AS9100D, IEC, IEEE, ASTM, AWS requirements.
• Provide technical support to production, quality, and purchasing; resolve issues.
• Lead first article inspections and technical reviews of customer requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales/Marketing to develop competitive system solutions; contribute to reliability (FMECA).
• Maintain configuration control and implement engineering changes.
