Job summary

Talnt in Troy, OH is seeking an Application Engineer to bridge customers and engineering teams, integrating lithium-ion battery systems into industrial applications and ensuring performance, safety, and reliability during product integration and field testing.

You will collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Engineering to optimize solutions, deliver demonstrations and training, develop installation guides and datasheets, and travel as needed to support deployments worldwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in battery technology or related industrial products.
• Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery tech, BMS, and thermal management.
• Experience with CAD, simulations, and lab testing equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams during product integration.
• Support integration of lithium-ion battery systems into customer applications (materials handling, construction, AGVs).
• Gather requirements and translate into engineering specs.
• Provide hands-on support for testing, validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Engineering to optimise performance.
