About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Application Engineer to support the integration of advanced lithium-ion battery systems into industrial applications. This role serves as the technical bridge between customers and internal engineering teams, ensuring battery solutions meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, Research and Development, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support product integration, troubleshoot technical challenges, and deliver innovative energy storage solutions.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between customers and internal engineering teams throughout the product integration process.
- Support the implementation and integration of lithium-ion battery systems into customer applications, including material handling equipment, construction equipment, and autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs).
- Gather customer requirements and translate technical needs into engineering specifications.
- Provide hands-on support for system testing, product validation, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Research and Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Product Engineering teams to optimize product performance and reliability.
- Assist with battery system evaluations, application testing, and performance verification activities.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including application guides, user manuals, technical data sheets, and installation documentation.
- Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer training sessions.
- Participate in root cause investigations and failure analysis to identify and resolve product performance issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and engineering processes.
- Stay current on battery technology, industry standards, safety regulations, and emerging electrification technologies.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed to support customers, product launches, and engineering initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience supporting battery technology, energy storage systems, or related industrial products.
- Strong understanding of lithium-ion battery technology, battery management systems (BMS), and thermal management principles.
- Experience with engineering testing, product validation, troubleshooting, and technical support.
- Proficiency with CAD software, engineering simulation tools, and laboratory testing equipment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and customer-facing skills.
- Strong analytical and structured problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting industrial battery systems, electric vehicles, material handling equipment, or construction equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO, UL, and other electrical safety and regulatory standards.
- Knowledge of embedded systems, firmware integration, or control systems.
- Experience supporting new product introductions and customer product integration.
- Background in industrial automation, electrification, or renewable energy technologies.
- Multilingual communication skills are a plus.
