Job summary

Jupiter Power is seeking a Renewable Energy Technician for its Grand Basin battery site in Leslie, Michigan. The role involves hands-on work in construction and maintenance of substations, transmission, and battery storage systems.

You will troubleshoot protections and control equipment, coordinate with contractors, and support safe operation of BESS assets while adhering to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and drawings.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with electrical safety protocols on job sites.
• Familiarity with BESS or substation systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction and maintenance of substations, transmission lines, and battery storage systems.
• Troubleshoot protections, control equipment, and relay schemes.
• Support emergency response and repair of high voltage equipment and BESS.
• Maintain inventory, tools, and vehicles; coordinate with contractors and landowners.
