Job summary

Jupiter Power seeks a Renewable Energy Technician for the Voyager battery site in Saline, Michigan. You will assist in the construction and maintenance of substations, BESS, and related systems, ensuring safe, compliant operations in wholesale energy markets.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to read schematics, operate diagnostic tools, and coordinate with contractors and landowners.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience using and understanding diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics.
• Ability to follow safety protocols on site.
• Effective communication with third parties, vendors, and co-workers.
• Strong written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic construction and maintenance of substations, transmission, collection systems, and battery storage.
• Provide troubleshooting for protections, control equipment, and relay schemes.
• Report and coordinate emergency response and repair of HV equipment and BESS.
• Establish and maintain inventory, equipment, tooling, and vehicles.
• BOP operations and construction including substation and BESS equipment.
• LOTO training and proficiency.
• Operate the facility safely and environmentally.
• Support emergency response during after-hour call-outs.
• Interface with contractors, suppliers, landowners.
• Read electrical schematics; ensure compliance with regs and market requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
