Job summary

Jupiter Power is seeking a Renewable Energy Technician for a battery site in the Pyote, Texas area. The role involves constructing and maintaining substations, BESS systems, and high voltage equipment, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will troubleshoot protections and control gear, read electrical schematics, coordinate with contractors, and support after-hours emergency response. Requires HV experience and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4 years' High Voltage electrical experience.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction and maintenance of substations, transmission, collection system, and battery storage systems.
• Troubleshoot protections and control equipment and relay schemes.
• Report and coordinate emergency response and repair to high voltage equipment and BESS systems.
• Establish and maintain high voltage inventory, equipment, tooling, and vehicles.
• LOTO training and proficiency.
• Operate the facility safely and in an environmentally friendly manner.
• Interface with contractors, suppliers, and landowners.
