Job summary

Jupiter Power LLC, a leader in energy storage deployment, seeks a Renewable Energy Technician for a battery site in the Houston, Texas area. The role focuses on high voltage substation work, BESS equipment maintenance, and safe operation within regulatory requirements.

The technician will troubleshoot protections and control equipment, read schematics, and coordinate with contractors and landowners. A strong safety mindset, good communication, and 4 years’ HV experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 years' High Voltage electrical experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and schematics with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic work in construction and maintenance of substations, transmission, collection system, and battery storage systems.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance and resolution with protections and control equipment and relay schemes.
• Report and coordinate emergency response and repair to high voltage equipment and BESS systems.
• Establish and maintain high voltage inventory, equipment, tooling, and vehicles.
• BOP operations and construction, including substation equipment, and BESS equipment.
• LOTO training and proficiency.
• Operate the facility safely and environmentally responsibly.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and landowners.
• Read and understand high voltage electrical schematics.
