Job summary
Hydrogen UK Ltd is seeking a Battery Energy Storage Project Engineer in Juno Beach, FL to support planning, design and execution of utility‑scale storage projects. You will provide engineering oversight across the project lifecycle and work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, high‑quality energy storage solutions.
Preferred candidates have 3+ years in Solar/PV or energy storage, familiarity with BESS, power electronics and standards such as UL 1973, NFPA 70E and NEC.
Qualifications
- Engineering background with experience in battery energy storage, solar/PV, power electronics.
- Experience with utility-scale BESS is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with UL 1973, UL 9540, NFPA 855, NEC and IEC standards.
- Ability to independently manage specialized technical engineering tasks.
Responsibilities
- Support engineering and design of major components for utility-scale battery energy storage projects.
- Provide engineering oversight across project development, design and execution.
- Review drawings and studies, identify issues and develop solutions.
- Prepare scopes of work for engineering and construction contracts.
- Support projects from inception through completion with project managers and teams.
- Monitor milestones, progress and identify project risks.
- Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment.
- Support specs and procurement for major equipment.
- Coordinate across disciplines to resolve issues and integrate systems.
- Assist permitting and recommend design improvements.
- Travel ~25% for project requirements.
