Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Battery Reliability Engineer to support automotive battery cell manufacturing, testing cell performance and reliability for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis electrified vehicles.

As part of the engineering group, you will design and execute battery performance tests, analyze data, and collaborate with global teams including local manufacturing sites and vendors. Travel up to 15% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrochemical Engineering or related field
• Electrified vehicle experience, including vehicle-level data collection and analysis
• Numerical analysis and data-driven decision making
• Comprehension of vehicle electrification technology and high voltage battery systems

Responsibilities

• Designing and executing battery performance tests on vehicles, battery systems, and cells
• Comparing product features against competitor products and industry standards
• Communicating directions and needs, including ownership of presentations, reports, and meetings
• Collaborating with many groups – local manufacturing sites, technology and material vendors, Korean counterparts, internal business and engineering teams
• Up to 15% travel (domestic and international)
