Job summary

Stryten Energy is hiring Production Operators in Salina, Kansas, to join one of the largest lead‑acid battery manufacturing sites in North America. The role involves working safely and efficiently on the production line, with opportunities to learn other positions.

Starting pay is $23.96 per hour with quarterly attendance bonuses, gainshare up to 10% of gross monthly pay, and production bonuses up to $11.50 per hour in addition to base pay.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Previous manufacturing or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lift and handle battery parts up to 50 pounds.
• Load plates into feed magazines and hand stack positive and negative plates.
• Perform first‑piece setup, weld breaks, and weld analysis.
• Process 1,000–2,400 batteries per 10‑hour shift.
• Work with a team around electrical machinery, torches, lead melting pots, conveyors, computers, and ventilation equipment.
• Learn and follow quality control specifications, maintain accurate SPC charts, 002 forms, and other material control documents.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5S requirements.
• Comply with safety, health, and quality system regulations, including PPE use.
• Follow Lean Manufacturing procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
